The main benefit of the BAR rail is to those who wish to have a suppressor inside of the rail or for those shooters who have large bear paw hands and who feel that skinnier rails are just too small ( the BAR is about the same circumference as a DD rail with the popular Magpul XTM covers).

Spike's Tactical Hard Chrome M16/AR15 5.56x45/.223 caliber Bolt Carrier Group. The Carrier is machined from 8620 tool steel to M16 specifications with a shrouded firing pin. It is hard chromed inside and out. Features a forged military spec. carrier key that is hard chrome inside and out and is attached with properly staked grade 8 hardware. The shot peened bolt is machined from mil. spec. carpenter 158 steel and is also hard chrome inside and out. It features a mil-spec extractor spring, black extractor insert, viton o-ring, hard chrome tool steel extractor, and has been Magnetic Particle Inspected. HPT/MPI Bolt
