  LWRC M6 5.45x39 Piston Upper

  The LWRCI M6-AK upper is an M6A2 style upper chambered in the 5.45x39mm cartridge. It features a 16” barrel with A2 flash hider. It has the LWRCI Mark 1 ARM-R rail system and utilizes LWRCI’s patented short-stroke gas-piston operating system. The bolt carrier is coated in a nickel-teflon-boron coating that promotes permanent lubricity and allows the gun to be run with little lube. The barrels are treated with our NiCorr process (a type of salt-bath nitride) that renders them extremely corrosion resistant. The NiCorr is done on the whole barrel including the bore. We are getting 20,000 rounds out of our 5.56 barrels that use this coating with little to no degradation in accuracy. The other thing that makes these uppers attractive is that they all come with full-auto carriers. Anyone with a registered lower or a drop-in auto sear can use these uppers as-is right out of the box. The 5.45x39mm cartridge was developed as the Soviet’s answer to the American and NATO countries 5.56x45mm cartridge. It was chambered in their AK-74 rifles and it’s ballistics closely mirror those of our 5.56 round.
